It's not an airhead peace
-- a drug of denial
We feel all
of the pain
All of the sorrow
Yet, there is
an unshakable Joy
in its midst
It's not one
or the other
It's both
Peace is not a feeling
It's the presence of a person
in a feeling
It's faith in Christ's promise
and the sweetness
of leaning our heartache
into his lavish
lavish love
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillippians 4:7
