Planetary Dream - A Warning about Judgment

Updated: Aug 9

Joel 2:28-32

“And afterward,

I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy,

your old men will dream dreams,

your young men will see visions.

Even on my servants, both men and women,

I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

I will show wonders in the heavens

and on the earth,

blood and fire and billows of smoke.

The sun will be turned to darkness

and the moon to blood

before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

And everyone who calls

on the name of the Lord will be saved;

for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem

there will be deliverance,

as the Lord has said,

even among the survivors

whom the Lord calls."

I've been experiencing waves of grief from a deep well that I know is not of me. The well of emotion arising when I pray in the spirit has a unique depth that I well recognize as coming from the Lord. It's anguish.

God's heartbreak and anger is on those who will not read his word nor seek him to know what judgments are coming. Do we understand what he wants? He has been long-suffering, but his grace period is coming to an end. Let's take a look at how 2 Timothy describes people in the last days. We can easily recognize our current world:

I'm sharing this message because of a particular dream that I received from the Lord.

I dreamt that I was outside, on a normal day, as three planets appeared in a smoky sky. The main planet appeared to be an incredibly large, full moon, veiled by clouds. Two smaller planets appeared near it. The north shore mountain range in Canada began to rise and crack open, releasing steam. Some of the mountains imploded, and others exploded. There was lava spewing into the sky like geysers. People were yelling in terror and phones were melting in hands, including mine. All technology was instantly useless.

I believe that this dream is a warning from the Lord, because the next day, I learned that there was going to be a planetary event, visible to the naked eye that resembled what I saw in the dream. I looked online and found NASA's diagram, showing that what I saw in the sky in my dream was about to take place: Two planets, visible to the naked eye, with the moon in "rare brightness" for three days. The two smaller planets were Jupiter and Saturn. I watched it pass, a few days later.

Jupiter is usually known to symbolize the Messiah (link below). The only biblical reference that I know of Saturn is when the Israelites were warned about their worship of Saturn. It's in Amos 5, "A Lament and Call to Repentance."

And you carried the tent of your king and Saturn,

your star god idols that you crafted for yourselves.

Amos 5:26

Two masters.

If judgment starts in the house of God, then the bride who is hooking up with the world is in trouble. (1 Peter 4:17)

"No man can serve two masters" Matthew 6:24

God is reminding us of his sovereignty. He is letting us know that the time we are told to watch for is approaching: And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world." (Luke 21:24-26) I have not been given understanding about all of the details in the dream, but the veiled moon reminded me of the bride of Christ, who is to reflect God, just as as the moon reflects the light of the sun.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3

As I prayed for revelation about the dream, the Lord lead me to Isaiah 5, God's Woe to the Wicked:

"Their (the unrighteous) roaring is like that of a lion; they roar like young lions. They growl and seize their prey; they carry it away from deliverance. In that day they will roar over it, like the roaring of the sea. If one looks over the land, he will see darkness and distress; even the light will be obscured by clouds."

v. 29-30

I recommend reading the whole passage, because context is important: https://biblia.com/bible/esv/isaiah/5 It's about God warning his people that they are compromising with the world, and because of that, they are compromising their security in Him. They are inviting judgment and discipline. This passage illustrates the opening up of the jaws of Sheol and the consuming flame of fire that is God's jealous wrath - much like the mountains rumbling up and breaking open, in my dream. This is the kind of confirmation that I look for when testing dreams with scripture.

While Isaiah 5 ends with God's anger for unrighteousness, it starts out by depicting God's chosen people as a vineyard -- but with "rotten" and "sour" grapes that represent dead works and sin justified by fanciful language, argument and philosophy.

The enemy of our souls has entered the church through trending secular ideologies as well as religious, legalistic ideologies. The ideas and works of man burglarize the simplicity and benefit of of the gospel and set our souls at a distance from Jesus. This is confirmed in God's warnings to the churches in Revelation 2 an 3. Instead of taking captive every high and lofty idea that exalts itself against knowledge of Jesus Christ, many of us are instead, entertaining them (2 Cor. 10:5). We are dropping the first works by allowing them to pull up a seat at the table in the name of social relevance.

All of these compromises are being done in the name of love. But, it's man's love. Not God's Love. It's man's wisdom, not God's wisdom. It's man's work, not Christ's work. It's causing a gospel "drift" by adding to the sufficiency of Christ and his ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5).

For these are rebellious people, deceitful children,

children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.

They say to the seers,

“See no more visions!”

and to the prophets,

“Give us no more visions of what is right!

Tell us pleasant things,

prophesy illusions.

Isaiah 30:9-10

We are too given to preach or listen to "only smooth things" that itching ears want to hear, just as the Bible warns will happen. The natural effect of being concerned with social dignity and our own meritorious works is that we worship a Jesus that the world doesn't want to crucify. And that's not the real Messiah. That's not a Messiah that can or will save us.

God is angry and sorrowful because we are living passively in a world of abominations and godless self-promotion. We are making compromises, so as not to offend the world. To serve the flesh. In the name of comfort, we have forgotten evangelism and the conviction of sin. In the name of grace, we have forgotten holiness.

In the name of being nice, we are not telling the truth.

We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you

not to receive the grace of God in vain.

2 Corinthians 6:1

Hope is being diverted from kingdom things to earthly things. The sales pitches of Babylon make sense to our fallen intellect. We are not vigilant or bold about the higher thoughts and ways of God. Our flame has grown dim because we are not rendering our hearts like David's by submitting them to the Lord for searching. We let the world into our temples. We bow down to the god of "feelings". We give into fear and intimidation and the lusts of our flesh. The pride of life. And God will not share the thrones of hearts with idols.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24

A tsunami of judgment is coming. I don't know another way to say it. This is not a message that I enjoy sharing. Other saints that I know personally, who are really seeking the Lord's wisdom, can also see it on the horizon, through the word and in the Spirit -- and through the dreams and visions that Paul said would be poured out as the day draws near. (Acts 2:17) God has been incredibly gracious to lead me to brothers and sisters who can help me confirm and test these things.

Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.

1 Thess 5: 20-21

God is jealous, because he loves his children, passionately. There are things that God has been leading me to repent of, as I seek him. It's his parental loving-kindness that brings us to repentance (Romans 2:4). Heeding his conviction leads us into greater peace, joy, and freedom. Conviction is always an invitation into deliverance. Repentance is to be loved, not avoided. I pray that his judgments will render hearts back to him swiftly, so that eternal judgment and condemnation will be avoided.

This is a warning for God's church to come all the way out of Babylon before his judgments ramp up. This is an invitation to seek his face. To ask him to search our hearts, expose and remove anything offensive to him or deceitful. Or compromising. What areas are we engaging in devil worship, even in the name of devotion to Christ? We may not even know what other gods we are worshiping. If our hearts are at all distant from the Lord, it could simply mean that we are worshiping ourselves. Our flesh. The world encourages this, even in our thinking, to live in the natural man, where no good thing dwells (Roman 7:18). This is also an invitation for those who have not believed on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to come to him and receive salvation and wisdom through his written Word, the Bible, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus is coming soon. Repent and receive his grace while it's still available. The Kingdom of Heaven comes quickly.

The planets were far brighter, but this is the best I could do on my phone.

Psalm 104: 31-35

May the glory of the Lord endure forever;

may the Lord rejoice in his works—

he who looks at the earth, and it trembles,

who touches the mountains, and they smoke.

I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord. But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. Praise the Lord, my soul.
