The Cost of Discipleship

Updated: Sep 30, 2022

Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Daniel 11:32

God's plans are unfolding just as his word said they would. Many of you who are reading this are experiencing this incredible and troubling question: How can it be that many professing Christians aren’t discerning what is happening in the world? How come some churches are inviting the spirit of the antichrist into God's house?

The way of the remnant is not the wide path. It can be lonely, and no more so than in the church where a saint would expect to find company. A.W. Tozer dispels the expectation of good company in the church in his sermon, “The Saint Must Walk Alone.” If we examine the life of Christ, we must expect that it will be a difficult and lowly walk of set-apart-ness on the narrow road.

Matthew 7:

The gritty joy of sainthood is a funny paradox. The mocking criticism or ill-consideration of our pleas to the church to uphold righteousness and call sinners to repentance is no doubt allowed by God for our humbling and testing. It’s a battered walk. But, it’s not without the living Word's grace that embraces us when we are broken hearted and contrite. Contrite, in Strong's Concordance, means to be ground to dust -- and then even finer. Thankfully, we enter the kingdom through poverty of spirit (Matthew 5:3). He gives us resilience to press on. Whew! Joy.

Propaganda in the internet age is succeeded in creating the first global, one-world religion.

Current events is scripture to many people. The media demands that we not question it. Paid fact-checkers and the "Misinformation Board" censors messages like this one. We are looked upon as illiterate peasants compared to "science facts" and the politicians who are talking down to us. People are having what the current-events-man cult is serving because of its successful use of fear -- and because it offers people meaning for their lives. Satan knows how to fill the god-sized hole in people with his deceptions.

Right now, he has many unholy and destructive badges on Christians. Most of them fall under the banner of secular humanism. Look at the gender pronoun delusion. The undermining of the nuclear family. Of God's order for sexuality. Look at agendas such as "black lives matter". These are at odds with God's authoritative word. Then, there are the muzzles that we have been intimidated into putting on our kids in the name of "safety".

All of this is social manipulation. The political elite and the enemy of our souls behind them, understand that if they can cover their plans in virtue, we will practically implement their agenda for them. It's very seductive.

We cannot love people better than God- who IS love. (1 John 4) He's both the origin and author of Love. And he said in Philippians that "love does not rejoice in wrongdoing".

There are religious rites of passage in order to be a part of the secular humanistic greater good. A “good” that defines righteousness by specific works, symbols, badges and virtuous duties. It's interesting to notice how people celebrate the jab on social media, like they've just been born again. “Vaccine apostles” are evangelizing for big pharma (Link below). Of course, all of this is politically (and I believe, demonically) driven, which is what makes it so sad to witness. Even churches are advocating for this fake and untested vaccine and oppressive mandates based on falsified, or at the very best -- illusory, data.

The word of God tells us about these things. It tells us to watch for them. It also tells us to remain separate (2 Tim 3). So, why are so many professing Christians becoming indoctrinated by antichrist ideologies, like, political scientism and secular humanism?

Because of an issue of the heart. These are fruits of abiding in the wrong vine.

People will say, "Don't make politics or current events a theological issue." I disagree. The gospel love of truth permeates everything. It is true, that if we are citizens of the kingdom, then we hold loosely our concern about all events of this world (2 Tim 2). But, God's word is profitable for all things (2 Tim 3). I think about when Jesus upset the apple cart in the church, because someone's financial self-interest set up shop in his father's house. I'm not going to ignore the watermelon stand in the church, now.

He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous

are both alike an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs 17:15

It's okay to withdraw from a church that has become such a "den of thieves." Certainly, share the truth in love before doing so. Pray for conviction in the body of Christ. She is going to find herself under more oppression that she may regret, otherwise.

Scripture tells us to beware of leaders and people who follow after doctrines of demons in the last days. I'm not sure I’ve seen a doctrine more demonic than the one that muzzles people, confiscates careers, separates families and allows children to be injected with experimental gene therapy while censoring all objection. Or one that sexuality confuses and exploits children in kindergarten.

Scripture tells us to watch so that we remain separate. Babylonian Neo-paganism is growing many heads.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a case where one can say, “Look, this is new”? It has already existed in the ages before us.… Ecclesiastes 1:9

In the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13, we learn that God allows tares to grow up in the church alongside the wheat. The enemy is constantly among the children of God (Job 1:6).

Matthew 13:24-30: “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”

You can read Martin Luther’s commentary on the parable here: https://www.blueletterbible.org/Comm/luther_martin/misc/003_wheat-n-tares.cfm

The events that are unfolding are revealing an unhappy distinction between wheat and tares. So:

How can we recognize the distinction without being factious and divisive with genuine brothers and sisters? How can we stand against falsehood in a way that does not condemn, but rather, convicts?

What is the difference between legalism and holiness?

Or between judgment and accountability?

These are important questions, worth reflection. The enemy tries his darnedest to sneak through the backdoor of a good battle with seeds of resentment towards our adversaries. We are called to bless our enemies. It's a good time to take every thought captive to the Lord.

Notice that the tares and the wheat look the same, which is why we must seek God for sharpened discernment on the daily. There will be those who are going to react in anger, offense and who will simply dismiss warnings, such as the one I am about to give. We have to guard our hearts against making it personal and not condemn those that only God must judge. We can be like Jesus -- speaking the truth in love and boldness, if we are led by the spirit to do so. And, we must pray more than we speak. Only the Lord can change hearts and open eyes and ears. And we need to pray that God will keep us from deception, too.

So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. 1 Thess. 5:8

It's important to obey the Lord when he tells us to watch vigilantly (1 Pet 5:8, Luke 12:35-50). Through careful study of God's word, fear of the Lord (the beginning of wisdom) and prayer, we can discern deception such as the woke movement. By seeking the Lord diligently, we can recognize various tiers on the tower of Babel and the wiles of the devil that are acting as scaffolding. I pray that God awakens his church to recognize the spirit of the antichrist and his false unity, love and justice -- his counterfeit kingdom.

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. Luke 21:36

If you are following after Christ in both Spirit and in Truth as we are commanded to (John 4:24), here is some encouragement for you. In the prophetic dreams that I've received, where events of judgment and warning are unraveling, there has been no fear. God does not provide a warning without an invitation or a promise when we repent and obey. It is his mercy to warn and convict us. Every rebuke from the Lord comes with love as he calls us closer to him -- out of the world and into his arms of protection. It's always a call home. There will be sacrifice, but it's always for our greater freedom, joy and deliverance.

Before I go more into what God is revealing, I want to speak to God’s long-suffering and mercy. These qualities of God are true -- hallelujah. But they do not nullify his jealousy. His justice. His righteous anger at our compromise with the world and its ruler. There are grave warnings in the Bible to those who profess Christ's name but are involved with the spirit of the antichrist.

Many of these mandates and trending social causes are lawless. They are the form of godliness that denies God's power that 2 Timothy 3 warns about. These social justice and "stay-healthy" causes aren't accomplishing any sort of true justice or safety, but instead are demonically set up to dismantle God's order in regards to the church, family, marriage and our sexuality. As John Macarthur puts it, if you have to put an adjective in front of "justice", then it's something else. We are not to converse with the devil (2 Tim 2). God's word sets the basis for the conversation -- not the world. Not the enemy and his ideologies. We don't have to engage in every trending topic in order to relate to people or win arguments and souls. In fact, we are more often told not to.

Many are becoming brainwashed by the media. We need spiritual discernment. We need to come to God for the renewal of our minds. For the mind of Christ. The laying down of our understanding is the point of access where God imparts his.

Accountability and discernment is not sinfully judging. We are commanded to do those things if we love people. It's what God does for us through his word. Paul says in 1 Cor. 11:19, “For there must be false factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you." Ultimately, the Holy Spirit does the convicting. We are just called to speak the truth in love and pray for God to open blinded eyes.

We are in an interesting place, saints. We can see that the tares and wheat are being separated out into bundles as professing Christians stand in early allegiance to the budding beast system and the world's ideologies. What we are seeing happening right now with the jab and the inability to have access to parts of society and services without it is setting the stage for the mark that you will need in order to be able to buy or sell (Rev 13:17). We are seeing this happen in alignment with an increase across the world of birth pains (natural disasters -- more to come) and the fulfillment of biblical prophecy in Israel and the Middle East, according to Matthew 24 and Ezekiel 37 and 38.

God’s grace means that we are given power through faith to fight for righteousness, because God has gone before us and has won. The grace given to us by the cross of Jesus Christ empowers those with faith to resist lawlessness. That's what it's for. Not so we can check out and pursue the desires of our heart, carnal understanding, man’s wisdom and friendship with the world. God's grace is not for us to live a comfortable life. It's to pick up our cross and follow Jesus on the narrow road. Like my friend says, "I want to be so narrowly with Christ that I no longer have a silhouette!"

"Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers treated the false prophets in the same way." Luke 6:26

Grace doesn't come to help our understanding or our way of thinking or to change our hearts. It comes to give us a brand new one. A new life. A new heart. It came to give us the mind of Christ! Here's what it can help us to see:

People read or hear about history and wonder how such evil could have been allowed. How could any human being go along with something so tyrannical? The explanation, besides people giving us sinful humans too much credit, is that tyranny gains power through sorcery, according to Revelation 18:23. And no, it's not going to be storybook-looking witches casting spells. So, what is this sorcery that the bible says to watch for?

Several weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night. I felt suspense in the Holy Spirit's presence as I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. In my mind, I silently responded to it, "Lord, if there's something you want to tell me, show me when I fall back asleep, and I'll be obedient to share it."

When I fell back asleep, I had a very short dream. No longer than 30 seconds long. I was in Jerusalem, in a setting that looked like an amphitheater or a coliseum. There was an excited buzz of energy in the air. I was in the nosebleeds with a cheering crowd as a charismatic man enchanted the audience. I was also mesmerized by this man. I didn't hear the content of his speech, but everyone was enraptured by him.

Instead of standing on a stage or platform at the center of this colosseum, this man was standing on a small mountain. I broke from the entrancement of the crowd to notice something strange. The mountain was covered in water, like a sloshing sea, flowing upwards from the base of the mountain, defying gravity. This man was also defying gravity, standing on the water that was flowing upwards from the ground like a backwards waterfall.

When I woke up, I went to the word:

And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. Revelation 13:1

The colosseum- like setting reminded me of Rome, which I am now just learning is what many theologians believe to be the epicenter of the beast system -- The papacy.

I seek the Lord for many confirmations before sharing a message, because we are commanded to test the spirits, and because the greatest resistance in sharing the gifts of the spirit is from professing Christians. It’s Satan’s sharpest weapon against truth, right now, and why God's word tell us not to quench the spirit nor despise prophecy, but test everything and hold fast to what is true. (1 Thess 5:20-21)

I believe that God is showing us that the first beast is rising. We know that because of Christ, water flows from Mount Zion as a symbol of his life giving word and grace. We must study the scriptures thoroughly and seek the Lord for discernment so that we are not deceived. This man was full of light, but the water wasn't flowing down, it was flowing up from the sea, just like scripture said. Biblically, the sea is a symbol of judgment.

“Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666” (Rev 13:18)

The Pharisees knew the scriptures better than anyone, yet they didn't recognize Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah. They met him, beheld his miracles, and still rejected him -- and are still expecting a different messiah to come. I believe that in the same way, many "Christians" will not recognize the mark of the beast. They will meet the beast system, accept it, and then expect the mark to be something else in the future. We will hear the repeat lie of the serpent in the garden of Eden from Christians, "God didn't really say . . . he didn't really mean you couldn't . . . have this."

Scripture tells us that only those who have understanding will recognize the mark -- those who are already marked by the blood of the lamb. This means that many will not have understanding. So, many will take it. There is grave danger in taking God's word lightly. Those who hold fast to the prophecy in Revelation, according to Revelation 1, receive a special blessing.

The economic consequences of this pandemic will usher in what they are calling a "jubilee" -- a new global currency that will "forgive your debts." Does this sound familiar? It's a the counterfeit proposition of Christ. The World Economic Forum is calling this The Great Reset (Or the Gesara and Nesara programs -- which have an oath associated with them.) This is also in cahoots with the UN Agenda of 2030. All of the factors that I mention in this article are working together to create economic issues that will warrant the implementation of the New World Order -- the beast system.

Gesara/Nesara Oath, sounding a lot like the new age false-righteousness that permeating our world

The events that we are seeing take place in the world now are setting the stage for the beast system. The segregating system behind vaccine passports that are rendering people jobless, paralyzed, twitching and dead is lawless. None of this is legal. It's harmful. Evil. The bible teaches us to recognize lawlessness for our protection and discernment, because wickedness, falsehood and death are always behind it.

We are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Please understand this, because it's going to happen gradually and subtly. The deceiver, Satan, is a jealous mimic of God. He will begin to conform people into his image, leading up to the final mark of the beast. He will do this by infiltrating our genetics through "vaccines" and transhumanism. People will be sick from man-made plagues and from the broken bodies that we have inherited because of our sin. Because of an increase in illness, people will accept these enhancements. When we rise to meet our Lord in the air, we are promised to have glorified bodies (Phil 3:21). I believe that Satan will offer a counterfeit glorified body through modifications that will cure disease, stop aging, lengthen lifespans, and even give superhuman qualities.

We know that the spirit of the antichrist has been in the world since the time of Jesus, according to scripture. Take this to the Lord for yourself and test it against his word, but I believe that God is saying that what we are seeing taking place in the world now is setting the stage for the final antichrist -- the man of lawlessness or the system of lawlessness (2 Thess 2). I don’t think I even need to include my dream in order to highlight this, but because I told the Lord that night that if he gave me a dream, I would share it, I am obediently sharing it. But if it bothers you, cast aside my dream and seek the Lord through his word and in prayer about it.

Many cannot see what is right in front of us. Romans 1 explains the stages in which God progressively hands a nation who does not love him over to depravity and hardening. We have come through the first two stages -- sexual revolution, then homosexual revolution -- and are now in the third stage, the "reprobate mind." The strong delusion of 2 Thessalonians has begun. People are unable to discern truth from falsehood. Scripture says that by the sorceries of Babylon and its great men of earth -- its "merchants" -- all nations will be deceived. And that there will be a great falling away in the church.

(Romans 1 cont'd)

The original greek translation of these sorceries in strong’s concordance is "pharmakeia", which means biological manipulation for wicked purposes (Rev 18:23). The media is making humanity compliant through the use of fear, indoctrination, and physical harm. The church must stand apart.

1 John 3:9-10 says, “Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”

"For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." (Romans 8:19)

This beast system will make its servants known in due time as the children of God are made manifest (Romans 8:19). Allegiance, at its root, comes from the heart, not from something superficial on the skin or otherwise. The physical mark, over time, would be the confirming manifestation of who a person's heart is in allegiance to.

God’s word says that those who aren’t surrendered to Christ serve the god of this world - Satan. There’s no middle ground. No fence-sitting, and no acceptable lukewarm faith, according to scripture. That's why God warns us not to be double-minded. Most people aren’t going to suddenly be in servitude to the antichrist in one fell swoop. Double-minded Christians will give in to the beast system because of pressure, lust for what it offers, fear of scarcity, hardship and persecution. God says that those who endure till the end will be saved. (Matt 24:13)

Those who bear the mark of the Lamb can take heart:

“This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”Hebrews 10:16

This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.

Exodus 13:9

The “abomination of desolation” in the book of Daniel, means something forbidden in the temple (the abomination), that results in the desolation (withdrawal, abandonment) of God. Our physical bodies are also temples of the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor 6:19) God said that he will leave people who take the mark of the beast desolate. I don't believe that this jab is the mark, but that it is a prelude, and that it is in the spirit of the antichrist to infiltrate our God-given genetics with his signature.

If God hands us over the the strong delusion so that we believe a lie, because we love not his truth, we won't even know (2 Thess 2:11). We must go to him to receive his mercy, now, while it is still found.

The new global currency or I.D. will promise prosperity. Healing. World peace. A new kingdom. People will be able to access this global, universal inheritance when they receive the mark of the beast. All debts will be forgiven. After the birth pains that will soon climax across the earth, that solution will be very appealing to people.

Again, I don’t think we are at this ultimate point-of-no-return mark because it will include the only way to buy or sell anything, but this is where we are headed:

Revelation 14:9-11 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, and he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

God is warning us that we have some reflecting to do, under the loving chastening of his Word, if we have decided to remain comfortable and friends with the world and its lawless system, because scripture says that it puts us at enmity with God. (James 4:4) Is it a matter of conscience and Christian liberty to pet the spirit of the beast? And what does it reveal about our hearts if we try and toe the line for as long as possible?

There is a supernatural realm of powers and principalities behind what is happening (Eph. 6:12). Satan masquerades as an angel of "light". He loves to wrap himself in scripture and twist it. Remember, when the man of lawlessness is revealed in the figure of the final antichrist, many will think that he is Jesus, including the accursed "anathema" church. (Galatians 1:8-9) Or the apostate church.

Satan used scripture to tempt Jesus in the wilderness. But, Jesus was wiser about the entirety of God’s word and his Father's will (Matt 4). Some Christians will say that we must go along with the lawless system in the name of unity and to “not be divisive.” And indeed, Christ commands us to be unified in faith and warns against being divisive.

But, it's a silver tongue. Those with discernment can hear the hiss behind these lovely words.

We’re not being sinfully divisive by taking a stance against falsehood. It’s not being actively divisive when we simply stand our ground against the pressures of culture, as others chase after idols. Jesus also said,

“Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law. He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?” (Luke 12:51-59)

Sound familiar?

Jesus then goes on to say that we must make every effort to reconcile with our adversaries. We must love as God loves. But, we seem to be mistaking adultery for love. Infidelity for faithfulness. Compromise for reconciliation. Scripture is filled with promises and narratives about the inevitability of some sort of division when we follow Christ obediently.

It's a hypocritical thing, to say that a person is being divisive by taking a stand against the infiltration of this crap in the church, when the church marks apart its unvaccinated congregants and children with muzzles and cancels concerns about lawless causes. God tells us to love and bless our enemies in an active, serving invitation to God's mercy. This is how we seek their well-being -- by Christ's definition of love, not the world's. That means, with the truth.

And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives. Jude 1:22-23

Reconciliation is an open invitation to come out of the world and into the grace of God through faithful obedience. He gave us the ministry of reconciliation. (2 Cor 5:18) But the enemy is twisting this commission to make us think that it means becoming like the world. Some sort of division is a consequence of following Christ -- it’s a consequence of the ministry of reconciliation. There’s no reconciling with sin. With lies. With harm. Only with the God of righteousness. And it’s free through Christ for all who want to come. Salvation is free, but discipleship comes with a cost that many aren't willing to pay. This present time is revealing that.

God never offers a warning without an invitation. This message, I pray, is an extension of his mercy for those who will hear it. Destruction and judgment is upon us and judgment begins in the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). Trust in the provision of the Lord and in his word. Joshua 1:9 says, “This is my command - be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Isaiah 54:10 assures us, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” We don't need the promises that the world is offering. We are in good hands with God. The best there are.

When we take up our crosses to follow Christ, we need to know that it will anger those who have enthroned their feelings over God's word. Biblical discipleship ousts friendship with the world, love of self and desire for comfort. Expecting accusation or rejection will help us not be shaken by it, although grief is natural. We can turn it to prayer and keep loving with God's help. It is his loving-kindness that brings us all to repentance. (Romans 2:4)

(Left - tare / Right -wheat)

Will we be like the disciples who slept, abandoning Jesus while he was sweating blood from stress in the garden of gethsemane? "Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?" (Mark 14:37) I pray that he gives us the grace to help us obey him-- especially when it means we must suffer, because our flesh is weak. Christ knows it well, because he came in the flesh to suffer for our sins. Not so that we don't have to, but so that we can identify with him in our sufferings, calling him worthy, so that we may also partake in his glory when it is revealed. (1 Peter 4:13)

We have a clear, God given commission. We can't stand up for righteousness without standing against falsehood. They are two sides of the same door. There's no holiness in deception. It is a cheap and pathetic definition of love and grace to passively sit by lawlessness that is taking down the health and lives of men, women and children. If what is happening does not incite some sense of warfare in the church, in our hearts, in our prayer life, manifested by acts of righteousness and standing boldly against this wicked nonsense, then I don't know what Christ people are worshipping. If it's in the pews and our temples then we should not be afraid to be like the biblical Jesus and flip the table when it's warranted. It is his grace that empowers us to set the captives free, liberate the oppressed and give sight to the blind, not climb halfway up the steps of Babylon to copulate with deception and think it will somehow birth life.

Now is the time to diligently abide in the secret place and cling to scripture so that we are not given to pressure as the church enters into the ring of fire while birth pains increase. This ring of fire is meant to purify us of the world so that we are ready for Christ -- who says that the bride -- his church, is to prepare by clothing herself in fine white linen, representing the righteous acts of the saints. (Rev 19:8) So, we can be joyful! He will be in the fire with us. While our bodies by suffer now, nothing can take away genuine salvation and inheritance in Jesus Christ our Lord.

I hope that I've made it clear what kind of charades are in the spirit of the antichrist, so that it will bring life to readers. When the appointed time comes and we cannot stave off the lawless one any longer, will we be able to stand at the great white throne, knowing that we fought valiantly for righteousness?

They have kept themselves as pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering to God and to the Lamb. They have told no lies; they are without blame. Revelation 14: 2-5

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Joshua 24:15

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
