Sweetest Healer

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

I can't tell you how to heal, though I've found healing. I can't tell you how to achieve wholeness, though I have been made whole. I can't tell you how to be delivered, though I've been set free. I can't tell you how to be happy or content, though I have a fountain of joy and peace like a river.

I can point you to Jesus, my source. And, I can tell you that you don't need to know the answers when the Answer knows you.

God sees your past, your present. Your future. Your pain. Your need. Your secrets. Your desires.

The solution to every problem is a person, not a how. The One. Looking at the son of God, at every turn, is how we enter deep rest and unfathomable joy. If it sounds too simple, it's because we are encouraged by culture to be complex, introspective methodologists. We congratulate insight. We praise high-brow analysis. We proudly or fearfully think of ways instead of looking to The Way to provide every need. Our brains can't even rest for sleep anymore.

This is a virtue of the world, not of God, who calls us to be childlike and as sheep following a shepherd. "Do not be wise in your own eyes . . . Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he will direct your paths." (Proverbs. 3:5)

Anything less than an intimate relationship with God himself will not produce the fruit of heaven. Anything less is colorless. Slavish. Empty. Wonder-less. Redundant. Proud.

God is the opposite of those. 🙂 He is vibrant, humble, awesome, deep and satisfying. Taste and see.
