Laugh On
Updated: Mar 9
If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
2 Corinthians 5:13
"Those Jesus freaks, man. They are weird. They've lost the plot. They're brainwashed, narrow-minded and delusional." ; )

We are going to hear this, just as Noah did, in the days ahead. God prepared us! We just get to bless mockers and scoffers. We are free. No proving. We aren't called to argue. We have a great defender who has already won our case on the cross. God promises to vindicate the righteous. Our hope will not be put to shame. Let's kick off the dust from our shoes and keep going. (Matt 10)
Let's keep laughing. If we're in lock step with Jesus, we're going to face some of what he faced. Let's resolve together, going forward, to never complain or be dismayed about what he told us would happen. We are too blessed.
When we fall in love, the worries of the world and what once occupied our concerns have a natural way of fading. Affection for Jesus is like this.
That doesn't mean we won't feel pain. Or that it doesn't matter. It does. It really does. Let's count it all joy, that Jesus, the King, the Most High, the Alpha and Omega cries those tears. Our tears. He's that intimate with our hearts! And he keeps them.
Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
Psalm 126:5
The scoffers will scoff and the hungry will be filled. Keep laughing. Keep building. Glory in the light of your Redeemer, for the joy of the Lord is our strength!
