God's deliverance doesn't mean immediate evacuation from hardship. Deliverance is the hand of God loosening our lungs the oppressive grip of fear when we believe that Jesus is who he says he is. Again. And again. This is the miraculous gift of God for every circumstance. The consolation that Christ offers to us in our suffering is not to remove it, but to offer us his joy and peace in its midst.
Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
