The Healer

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

How often do we find ourselves looking for healing, while neglecting a relationship with the Healer?

We remove our hand from his, to turn over every earthly stone. We leave the comfort of his promises to spin our minds -- detectives on a case that the One who loves us enough to keep track of the number of hairs on our heads, has resolved. He knows our deepest desires. Our asks, before we ask him. He knows where that needle of health and wellness is in the haystack that we are upside down in, grasping, rear up.

Freedom is not a needle in a haystack.

Freedom is a person. ⠀⠀⠀

And he knows exactly what's going on.

Whether what is broken is an affliction of the heart, mind, body, or circumstance - God knows. Christ bore it. The one who holds the key to death and hell loves us beyond fathomability. He is able, tomorrow, to lay not his hand, but his finger, on the spot -- on the exact pore that hides demons in shadows that are imperceptible to us. Thieves of our inheritance of peace and joy. The exaction and precision of the blood of the lamb brings light into every painful place. Seek him. In pursuance of Jesus, we get the real healing we need, and our desires thrown in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
